Part-Time Web Builder/Designer
Web Builder Job in Wasilla, Alaska | Hiring Now at CJC Dynamic Solutions
Type: Part-Time
Location: Must be based in or near Wasilla, Alaska
Start Date: Immediate
Compensation: Hourly (DOE)
You're tired of freelancing.
You’re tired of juggling clients, chasing payments, sending proposals, managing admin, and carrying all the chaos yourself.
You want to settle into a team of people who love what they do, respect the craft, and value your independence as much as your contribution. A place where you can do great work, stay in your zone, and have support when you want it, without the burnout and noise of running your own business.
If that sounds like you, you’ll feel right at home here.
Primary Role: Website Building
(Shopify • Wix • Elementor)
You will be responsible for:
-
Building websites based on approved mockups, wireframes, or design concepts
-
Creating custom-feeling layouts without relying on default templates
-
Applying UX fundamentals: hierarchy, spacing, flow, readability
-
Ensuring mobile responsiveness and consistent styling
-
Building pages, sections, product layouts, and branded elements
-
Troubleshooting layout issues while maintaining design integrity
-
Delivering organized, easy-to-navigate site builds clients can maintain
Coding is not required.
If you know HTML/CSS, it’s a strong bonus.
Bonus Skills (Highly Valued, Not Required)
If you can do any of the following, you will be a strong candidate:
-
Create simple marketing graphics (social posts, ads, email graphics, etc.)
-
Follow brand guidelines with accuracy (fonts, colors, spacing, structure)
-
Polish layouts with clean hierarchy, alignment, and consistency
-
Rebuild low-quality graphics into clean, high-quality vector files
-
Create Canva or Adobe templates for client use
-
Use Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Canva confidently
You do not need to be an illustrator.
Strong design fundamentals and the ability to execute clean, accurate visuals are what matter.
You’re a Great Fit If You:
-
Have a portfolio showing real web builds or design work
-
Understand spacing, hierarchy, alignment, and visual consistency
-
Can follow direction precisely and execute it accurately
-
Do not rely on templates to carry a project
-
Communicate clearly and work reliably
-
Appreciate clean design, organization, and detail
-
Want creative execution work without client-facing responsibilities
You are not expected to be a creative director.
You are expected to bring approved concepts to life.
Not a Fit If You:
-
Only submit fanart or character drawings
-
Cannot build custom-feeling layouts
-
Need heavy supervision
-
Miss deadlines or disappear during projects
-
Do not understand spacing, structure, or brand consistency
Requirements
You must have at least one of the following:

A strong graphic design portfolio
-
Or both
Technical skills we value:

Shopify, Wix, Showit, or Elementor (two or more preferred)
-
Adobe Illustrator (required for design-focused applicants)
-
Photoshop / InDesign (bonus)
-
Canva (for client templates)
-
Basic HTML/CSS (bonus)
-
File prep for web and print
Why This Role Works Well
